Wayne White began as an illustrator and has transitioned into fine art with his Word Paintings. His word paintings feature oversized, three-dimensional type integrated into vintage landscape reproductions.

The message of the paintings is often thought-provoking and almost always humorous, with Wayne pointing a finger at vanity, ego, and his memories of the South.

Wayne was a designer for Pee-Wee’s Playhouse among other television shows in addition to creating music videos for Peter Gabriel, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
